KEN WILLIAMS is a Staff Actuary of the Casualty Actuarial Society, a leading international organization for credentialing and professional education of actuaries. Founded in 1914, the CAS is the world’s only actuarial organization focused exclusively on property and casualty risks and serves over 10,000 members worldwide. In his work with the CAS, Ken is a frequent author and presenter on a variety of actuarial subjects. Prior to joining the CAS, Ken spent 26 years working in the insurance industry in a variety of actuarial practice areas, including pricing, loss reserve analysis, budgeting, and enterprise risk management. Ken was a lecturer in the Mathematics department at Illinois State University for over 20 years. He holds a BS in Actuarial Science from Purdue University and is both a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).

Erica Sharpe is an ASA and has worked at New York Life her entire career. After graduating from Penn State with a degree in Actuarial Science, Erica joined NYL’s development program and completed rotations in Institutional Life Pricing, Annuity Pricing, and GAAP Oversight. She transitioned into her role in Actuarial Development after obtaining her ASA and is now involved in recruiting, trainings, diversity partnerships and more. She is a big fan of NY Times word games and spending time in Central Park.

Tanner McKerlie is a Consulting Actuary with Milliman’s Chicago Life practice, working primarily in mergers & acquisitions for life and annuity blocks. Tanner graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2018 and spent four years in defined benefits pension consulting before joining Milliman in 2022.

Nicole Persson leads the Pacific Northwest’s Health Analytics Practice comprised of actuaries and financial managers, as well as being the National DEIB Leader for Aon’s Actuarial and Analytics Practice. Nicole joined Aon in February 2013 and currently works with a variety of large and mid-market clients based on the West Coast and manages a team of 15 individuals.
